Rancho Cordova, CA., February 6, 2009 Superior Vision, a leader in vision managed care,
today announced the promotion of Rick Kjerstad to the newly created position of National Vice
President, Sales. Kjerstad will manage the nationwide sales team, with an emphasis on strengthening
critical market presence and identifying new opportunities.
Kjerstad has provided sales leadership since joining the company in 1997. He has over 23 years of
experience in the employee benefits industry, 20 of which have been spent specifically in managed
vision care. Kjerstad has partnered with large corporations as well as insurance carriers, TPAs,
and associations.

Mr. Kjerstad earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton Business
School at the University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He has a
Bachelors degree in business management from the University of Nebraska.
