Managed Vision Care Company Recruits Two Industry Experts into Key Positions

Sacramento, CA – February 27, 2006 – Superior Vision, the nation’s premier managed vision care provider, has named Gina Dickey as Vice President of Human Resources and Strategic Planning.  In addition, Karen O’Brien has joined the company as Vice President of Account Management and Marketing. Together, these seasoned healthcare professionals bring decades of experience to the company’s executive team.

 Ms. Dickey is responsible for organizational development and human resources management, while maintaining an organizational culture that has resulted in high employee satisfaction and retention rates.  She is also responsible for the strategic planning function to ensure Superior Vision maintains its industry leadership position. “Helping Superior Vision maintain its position as a regional employer-of-choice is vital to reaching our organizational goals. Ms. Dickey has more than 25 years experience in human resources management, organizational development and customer service management. She has served as a senior executive in the human resources and organizational development field across business sectors including healthcare, biotech, and technology. She has been accountable for all aspects of human resources management and strategic partnerships from Fortune 1000 companies to small organizations including recruiting, employment law, compensation, benefits management and management training, mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Dickey has a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado and has attended the University of Michigan's Executive School of Education for additional training in her field.

Ms. O’Brien is accountable for ensuring client retention, growth, profitability and satisfaction.  She is also the architect of Superior Vision’s strategic marketing plan and implementation. “Superior Vision has outstanding opportunities in the managed vision care market, which is a primary reason I was attracted to this position. A multi-talented marketing executive, Ms. O'Brien brings 25 years experience in marketing management, sales, customer service/client care, strategic account management, and organizational development to Superior Vision. She has held senior executive positions in the healthcare sector, including in managed care organizations and major health care systems. She has been accountable for client and broker relationships and strategic partnerships with a wide variety of Fortune 1000 companies and government entities. Ms. O'Brien holds an undergraduate degree in Multi-Media Management, a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, and is an organizational psychology PhD candidate. A torchbearer in the 2002 Olympics, she has been profiled in Sacramento Magazine and on NBC's "Today Show."
