Why would someone need to read our web site if they can't see it?
At Superior Vision, we want to make our site accessible to those who need vision care the most—those with limited or no vision.
The Superior Vision web site complies with ADA §508 standards for accessibility by adhereing to the following conventions:
- Image Use - Images used in the Superior Vision site use alternate-text descriptions that can be used by text-only browsers to describe visual elements.
- Script Use - The Superior Vision site can be used without client-side scripting enabled.
- Color Use - The Superior Vision site is designed to maintain sufficient contrast when viewed by those with color difficiencies or using non-color-enabled equipment.
- Alternate Language(s) - Alternate-language content within the Superior Vision site is clearly marked.
- Table Use - The use of HTML tables for layout purposes has been deprecated in the current version of the Superior Vision site, in favor of dynamic positioning. Where tables are used for display purposes, table headers contain descriptions of the table's contents.
- Blinking - the Superior Vision makes any blinking and/or flickering content available as static images for browsers that can not interpret blinking/flickering images.
- Language - the Superior Vision web site uses the simplest level of language that is appropriate to the contents of the site.
- Presentation - the Superior Vision site is readable without the use of style sheets.
- Other Options - text-only versions of site pages are available via the printer-friendly links within each page.
