Kirk Rothrock, Chief Executive Officer

Kirk Rothrock joined Superior Vision in 2013. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the health care marketplace, most recently as President and CEO of Sentient Medical Systems. Sentient is a leading national provider of outsourced intraoperative neuromonitoring solutions to hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Kirk’s previous positions include Chairman and CEO of CompBenefits, a leading vision and dental benefits provider, and Humana’s Senior Vice President of Ancillary Products.

Kirk is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and an MBA in Finance.

Greg Pontius, Chief Information Officer

Greg Pontius joined Superior Vision as Chief Information Officer in May of 2013. He is responsible for system design and development, technology hardware management, telecommunications, security, and compliance. Greg has more than 25 years of IT experience directly in the health care sector, including leadership roles in two successful managed health care start-ups. He was most recently Senior Vice President, Business Quality Administrator at HealthSpring, acquired by Cigna in 2010, and UnitedHealth Group as Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Greg received his Bachelor of Science and MBA, Finance, from Michigan State University.

Brian Silverberg, Chief Financial Officer

Brian Silverberg joined Superior Vision in September of 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for financial management and reporting, pricing and underwriting, treasury and financial operations, and strategic planning. Brian has held financial positions in a variety of industries. For the past seven years he was the Vice President of Finance and Business Development at EyeMed, playing a key role in that organization’s growth and success. Prior responsibilities include financial leadership positions at The Relizon Company and Ford Motor Company.

Brian is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a Masters in Business Administration.

Stephanie Lucas, Senior Vice President of Health Plan Services

Stephanie Lucas became part of the Superior Vision team in 2013 when Block Vision joined forces with Superior Vision. Stephanie joined Block Vision in 1994 and was instrumental in creating and growing the Health Plan Services business. Her current responsibilities include expanding the company’s Health Plan Services business by developing relationships with new health plan clients and by partnering with existing clients on service area expansions and other growth opportunities. Stephanie also manages the company’s relationships with key health plan clients. She has more than 28 years of experience in the managed health care industry, including several years with a federally-qualified HMO.

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Franklin College and her MBA from Butler University.

Audrey Weinstein, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Audrey Weinstein joined Superior Vision in 2013 following the consolidation of Block Vision and Superior Vision. She serves as Superior Vision’s chief legal and compliance officer responsible for legal, regulatory and operational compliance matters. Audrey was in private practice prior to joining Block Vision in 1995.

Audrey holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a Juris Doctor Degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Kimberley Hess, Senior Vice President of Operations and Account Management

Kimberley Hess joined Superior Vision in 1997 as Vice President of Operations, and was appointed Senior Vice President of Operations and Account Management in January 2008. She has more than 25 years of experience in the managed healthcare and insurance industries. Formerly, she was with Vision Service Plan where she oversaw all group reporting and membership enrollment. In her career with Anthem Health as Director of Information and Administrative Services, Kimberley managed customer service, claims, finance, credentialing, and information services. Previous managed care experience includes Foundation Health as Special Project Manager for system wide implementation of a total managed care package and premium accounting and eligibility.

Kimberley received her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Mary's College and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Zon Dunn, Vice President of Provider Relations

Zon Dunn joined Superior Vision in 2001 and was appointed Vice President of Provider Relations in February 2007. Prior to that she spent five years in the role of Provider Relations Manager. Zon has more than 15 years of management experience in the healthcare and insurance industries. Prior to joining Superior Vision, she held positions with Access Health and Foundation Health and has experience in account management, provider relations, customer service, case management, fraud and abuse management, nurse triage, physician referrals, and disease management information.

Zon received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University and began her career as an ICU nurse in Texas.

Josh Silverman, Vice President of Corporate Development

Josh Silverman joined Superior Vision in September of 2013 as the Vice President of Corporate Development. He is responsible for driving strategic initiatives to broaden the company’s product portfolio, expand its distribution partnerships, and enter new customer markets. Josh spent the previous six years at UnitedHealthcare Vision (formerly Spectera) as Vice President of Strategy and Performance Management. Prior roles include financial management positions at Broadlane Inc., Caremark Inc., and Lynx Physician Billing.

Josh received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado and his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas – Dallas.

Thomas Luchetta, Vice President of Sales

Mr. Luchetta joined Superior Vision as Vice President of Sales in October 2013. In this position, he is responsible for managing the sales organization and developing new strategic distribution partnerships. Tom comes to Superior Vision from his position as Senior Vice President of Sales at Chesapeake Life Insurance Company, a division of HealthMarkets. Tom has also held sales leadership roles at Secure Horizons, a division of United Healthcare Medicare and Retirement Solutions, Manhattan Insurance Group, American Medical Security, and Humana, selling a broad portfolio of health care products through multiple channels.

Tom attended the University of California, Irvine.

Kathleen McMinn, Vice President of Marketing

Kathleen McMinn joined Superior Vision in 2014. She is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company’s marketing initiatives, including market research, branding, digital marketing, public relations and stakeholder communications. Kathleen also manages the Business Development function and is responsible for overseeing the proposal process. She brings extensive experience in business-to-business and
business-to-business-to-consumer marketing. Most recently, Kathleen was the Vice President of Marketing for TransitChek (acquired by WageWorks in 2013). She has also held vice president roles at Weight Watchers where she led the Corporate Wellness group, and at ADP where she led the Small Business Group Health operations.

Kathleen is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Sciences and also holds an MBA in Marketing from The Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.

Amy Mann, Vice President of Human Resources

Amy Mann joined Superior Vision in 2014 as Vice President of Human Resources and brings with her more than 25 years of human resources management. Amy is responsible for all human resource programs at Superior Vision including organizational development, retention and recognition, performance coaching and assessment and management development. Her experience includes companies of varying sizes and spans an array of industries. Prior to joining Superior Vision, Amy served as Vice President of Human Resources at Cornerstone Records Management.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University.

Glen McDonald, Senior Vice President of Operations and
General Manager, Group Operations

Glen McDonald joined Superior Vision in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Operations and General Manager. He is responsible for business operations supporting the commercial group business, he also serves as general manager for the Rancho Cordova, CA office. He brings with him 28 years of experience in the healthcare industry and management consulting. Prior to Superior Vision, Glen held leadership roles with Blue Shield of California, First Consulting Group, and Kaiser Permanente.

Glen received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Strategic Management, from California State University, Sacramento.
